ELEMENT - A pure substance that cannot be broken down into two or more simpler substances by chemical processes.

COMPOUND - A pure substance containing two or more elements chemically combined in a fixed ratio. 

​

MIXTURE - Two or more substances that are not chemically combined.

​

ATOM - Smallest particle of an element that has the chemical properties of the element.   

​

MONO-ATOMIC ELEMENTS - Elements that exist as individual atoms. 

​

MOLECULE - Group of teo or more atoms that are chemically combined together.
